Our commitment to accessibility
Lincoln Square Coaching LLC is committed to making our website and digital tools accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is central to who we are. We serve people with disabilities every day in our work, and we believe our digital presence should reflect that commitment.
We work to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level, which is the standard most widely used to make websites usable for people with a range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments and blindness
- Hearing impairments and deafness
- Motor impairments
- Cognitive and learning differences
- Speech impairments
- Photosensitivity
What we have done
We have designed and built our website with accessibility in mind. This includes:
- Semantic HTML. We use proper headings, lists, landmarks, and other semantic markup so screen readers and other assistive technologies can navigate our site effectively.
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements on our site can be accessed and used with a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.
- Color and contrast. We design with sufficient color contrast between text and background, and we do not rely on color alone to convey information.
- Alternative text. Images that convey meaning include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked so screen readers can skip them.
- Resizable text. Text on our site can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Plain language. We write in clear, direct language and avoid unnecessary jargon. Where we use technical or specialized terms, we explain them or link to our glossary.
- Mobile responsive. Our site works on phones, tablets, and desktop computers, and adapts to different screen sizes and orientations.
- Form labels and error messages. Form fields are clearly labeled, and error messages are descriptive and accessible to assistive technology.
What we are working on
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix. We regularly review our website and work to improve areas where we can do better. Current areas of focus include:
- Ensuring all PDFs and other downloadable documents meet accessibility standards
- Captioning and transcribing any video content
- Continuing to improve form interactions and error handling
- Periodic accessibility audits using both automated tools and manual testing with assistive technology
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on our site may not yet be fully accessible. Areas where we know we can do better include:
- Some older PDFs predating our current accessibility practices
- Embedded third-party content (such as scheduling tools or video players) where we rely on the third-party provider's accessibility practices
If you encounter any accessibility issue on our website, please let us know so we can address it.
Accommodations for our services
Accessibility on our website is one part of how we work. The other, and more important, part is how we deliver our services. All LSC participants have the right to ask for accommodations at any time. We do not require a form, a diagnosis, or a justification.
Common accommodations we provide include:
- Extra time
- Written or visual instructions
- Plain-language materials
- Large print materials
- Quiet space
- Sensory breaks
- Support persons during sessions
- Flexible scheduling
- Materials in alternative formats
If you need an accommodation we have not listed, ask. We will work with you to figure out what helps.
