POTENTIALLY ELIGIBLE (PE)

Potentially Eligible (PE) Pre-ETS in New York

You do not need an open ACCES-VR case to receive Pre-ETS. ACCES-VR uses the Potentially Eligible (PE)designation for students with disabilities ages 14–21 who qualify for Pre-Employment Transition Services without going through a full ACCES-VR application.

Lincoln Square Coaching submits the PE referralto ACCES-VR on the student’s behalf. Once ACCES-VR authorizes the request, services begin—at no cost to the student or family.

To be considered Potentially Eligible, a student generally needs to:

  • Be ages 14–21 (or in a documented gap year before post-secondary enrollment)
  • Be enrolled in secondary, post-secondary, or another recognized educational program
  • Have a documented disability — IEP, 504 Plan, SSA disability award letter, school psychological assessment, or comparable documentation

How to Get Started in New York

Two pathways—students can come through their school, or families can come directly to us.

1
Reach Out

Email referrals@lincolnsqcoaching.com or call (212) 320-8973. Schools, families, and students can all initiate.

2
Eligibility Review

We review the documentation you have and determine whether the PE pathway applies.

3
PE Referral to ACCES-VR

We prepare and submit the Potentially Eligible referral on the student’s behalf—it is not a full ACCES-VR application.

4
Begin Services

Once ACCES-VR authorizes the request, Pre-ETS begin at no cost.

Do I need my school to refer my child? No. While schools are the most common pathway, families can come directly to Lincoln Square Coaching and we complete the PE referral on your behalf.
