Each October, the United States of America observes National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), which is a time to celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities and to reaffirm our commitment to building inclusive, equitable workplaces for all.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of NDEAM! The 2025 NDEAM theme, selected by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), is “Celebrating Value and Talent.” This theme honors both the historical achievements and the continuing impact of people with disabilities in the American workforce—recognizing their essential role in driving innovation, productivity, and progress.
In honor of this year’s theme, we invite you to view the official NDEAM video from the U.S. Department of Labor:
The video highlights the creativity, determination, and excellence that workers with disabilities bring to every industry across the nation — a reminder that inclusion is not just good policy, but good business.
Our Commitment to Inclusion and Opportunity
At Lincoln Square Coaching, we are proud to advance the goals of NDEAM every day through our programs and partnerships. Our work includes:
- Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) for students with disabilities, helping them prepare for life after high school through exploration, self-advocacy, and skill-building.
- Vocational evaluations and career development services for adults seeking meaningful work aligned with their strengths, goals, and interests.
- Employer engagement and consultation to foster inclusive hiring practices and supportive workplace cultures.
Looking Ahead
As we approach America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, this year’s NDEAM theme encourages us to reflect on how far we’ve come — and how far we still have to go — in achieving equity and opportunity for all workers. Join us in celebrating the value, talent, and contributions of individuals with disabilities throughout the month of October and beyond.
